I need to get the certificate that i completed one class and show it to a different class. How do I complete this task? Please help.
Hi Laurie Cole. I have a quick question for clarification. Are you trying to get an image or file from one class to another or are you trying to accomplish something else? Also, in these classes do you have a teacher or student role (as this could impact your options)?
Hi, first I'm a student with very little computer skills.
What I'm supposed to do is: I took a class that we assigned to do in a different class for extra credit. Since I already completed the class the instructor said to paste the completion score or the graduate badge we received upon completion. So I have to cut and paste this information from one class and post it in the other class and submit it.
I hope I'm explaining this right, No one seems to know what directions I'm to follow. Thank you for responding.
Hello Laurie Cole,
There are a number of ways you might accomplish this, but here are a few you might try.
If there is a completion badge, you could try to right-click on the image and see if you can "copy image", or "save as." If you can copy the image you may be able to paste it where you are supposed to. If you can save the image you could attach it as a file in an Inbox message to your instructor or submit it as a file in other locations of Canvas if this is an option.
If you can’t save the badge image, you could try to go into the Grades tab of your completed course. At the top there should be a button to print your grades. If you click this you should be given an option to print your scores in the class. Instead of a printer, you may be able to change the printing options so it saves the file as a PDF instead. If done, you can attach this in a message to your instructor.
Another option could be to use your phone to take a photo of your computer screen showing you completed the course and submitting this photo as evidence your completed the course you needed to if this would be ok with your instructor.
Hope one of these help, and feel free to respond that either you found something that worked or haven’t yet. Good luck!
Hello there, Laurie Cole...
As I was reviewing older questions here in the Canvas Community, I came across your question. I wanted to check in with you because I noticed there hasn't been any new activity in this particular topic since Eric Werth helpful response on October 23, 2017. Have you had an opportunity to review his feedback? Were you able to cut and paste the information you needed from one course to another? If you feel that one of Eric's above responses has helped to answer your question, please go ahead and mark it as "Correct". However, if you are still looking for some help from members of the Community, please let us know so that we might be able to assist you. I'm going to mark your question as "Assumed Answered" in hopes that you've been able to find a resolution to this question. However, this won't prevent you or others from posting additional questions and/or comments below that are related to this topic. I hope that's alright with you, Laurie. Looking forward to hearing back from you soon.
Yes, Chris the information I received about cut and paste did help, I breezed right through it. Thanks again.
