Under "Settings" I chose to import a course content. Under the completed jobs, it shows the import is complete. But none of the content appears. FYI: I am new to Canvas.
Hello Tammie Lang Welcome to the worldwide Canvas Community! Sorry you're running into this problem.
First, the easiest suggestion: just REFRESH your browser. (Function key F5 does the trick on most browsers.) That can make an immediate difference, and hopefully this will solve the issue.
If that does not help, the next question is did you import from another LMS's export file or did you import from another Canvas course site? (Such as one you were teaching during the previous term?)
If the former, it's always a bit of a crap-shoot depending on the previous learning management system just what gets imported properly. Depending on the previous LMS, follow the appropriate guide here: https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10460#jive_content_id_Course_Import_Tool
If you were importing from another Canvas course, that same link should show you a few pages on importing from another Canvas course site.
And finally, if importing from another class, make sure it was the right class! I've actually had a few instructors mistakenly import from a class that was never populated for one reason or another.
