Any chance I can be provided a canvas developer id and secret? I was
looking into adding accredible into canvas for my class.
Accredible does require a Developer Key according to their documentation on the EduAppCenter Edu App Center
This would be generated by your local Canvas administrator and not by anyone on this forum. The admin can follow these instructions: How do I add a developer key for an account?
If you're using a Free For Teachers account, I'm fairly confident that this is not something you will be able to do.
Hi Jadyn Cutter
Ok, I just figured out what you are asking for! Whew!
ID's and Shared secrets for third party apps come from the third-party, not from Canvas. You can contact the folks at Accredible here https://www.accredible.com/contact/
I hope this helps,
Hey, thanks a lot, Matt Hanes!
It appears I did not have it completely figured out after all.
No worries Kelley L. Meeusen!
Just looking at the recent Beta release notes https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-14925-canvas-beta-release-notes-2018-07-02#jive_content_id_Developer_Keys surrounding developer key scoping.
Are any Admins with an Accredible setup looking at restricting the endpoint access for Accredible? At the moment, without scoping, Accredible have access to an institution's complete environment.
