I want to be able to have my users click on an Assignment "button" to reach the Assignments for the course. How do I link the image to the Assignment section for the course? Nothing I try is working....
Thanks for your help.
Hi Lisa Sonricker!
This is one of my FAVORITE things to do!
First, you would upload the image onto your page. Use the space to the right of your Rich Content Editor. This space opens when you are building in the Rich Content Editor. It's called the Content Selector, and has three tabs - Links, Files, and Images. For this, you're going to use the Images tab, called the Image Selector.
Then, once the image is on your page, click on the Image to select it. In this case, I want to make the image - a "button" called Getting Started - link to a specific place in my course. So I clicked on that:
Now, I'm going to use that Content Selector space to the right again. Before, I was on the "Images" tab. Now, I want to use the "Links" tab. Once you click on that, you'll see a full list of everything you've created in your course so far.
Here's where the magic happens. If I wanted that Getting Started button to link to the Assignments space, so when students clicked it they were taken to that navigational space in my course, I would click on Course Navigation in the Links Selector, and then click Assignments List.
My Getting Started button will flash yellow for just a second to tell me it happened. Then I'll click Save on my Page. The image "button" will now link to the Assignments List.
Note: You can do this with ANY thing that lives in your course. It could be your full Assignments list like you want to do, or maybe it's a specific Module, or Page, or even an Announcement.
Hope this helps - let me know if you need more info!
Thank you Erin! I was missing the "click on Course Navigation". You Rock!
