How do I delete a message sent to students by mistake?
Jo, Welcome to the Canvas Community. Unfortunately, I have learned the hard way (from doing this myself) that this isn't really easy or possible. The initial issue is that Canvas Support (either at your school or from the Canvas company), would need to be contacted and then they could go through and remove the message from the student's Canvas Inbox. Yet, in most cases all Inbox messages are set to be forwarded out to students school email. That means your school would also have to go in to the student email and remove it from there as well. But... if the student has their email forwarded to a different email address, either from within Canvas or from their student email, then there is no way to remove or delete it.
