I'm trying to unenroll a test student account that has been enrolled into hundreds of courses.
Has anyone found a quick way to do this?
My first thought is to just delete the test user.
Other than that you could utilize the enrollment objects for a user through the API.
Thanks for your response Per! Appreciate your time.
Good Morning Nhuan,
Here's an alternative if you are unfamiliar with the API.
Let me know if you need anymore detail for this.
Thanks for taking the time to assist me!
I really think this would be the best option as I'm unfamiliar with and more familiar with this process.
I do have a few questions though.
1. When I run the provisioning report, what am I selecting?
Include deleted objects
2. After the provisioning report has completed, what are the next steps?
Thanks in advance,
When opening the report depending on the number of enrollments you have in your system the csv file may not open fully in Excel. If this happens you'll need to open the csv with a text editor (Notepad++ is my go to) and split out the rows to multiple files. Make sure that no file exceeds 1,048,576 rows because Excel can't handle any more than this.
This has been super helpful!
Thank you so much
No one has asked the obvious question, so I'll go there. Are you, perhaps looking at the "official" Test Student (How do I view a course using a test student?), which shows up in a course when an instructor uses the option to view a course from the student perspective? I know that our development team has been startled by this pseudo-enrollment when they have pulled various reports.
I'm not looking at an "official" test student.
This is a test account that was enrolled into courses that required a template.
So this 'test' account is in essence an actual user.
