Where can I see my course in size?
Hello Valeria Shapko...
If you are an admin for your school's Canvas environment, you can find this information at the Account level. (If you're not an admin, you should talk to someone who is at your school, and they should be able to get you this information.) Here is the Guide that will give you this information:
How do I view reports for an account?
Specifically, your local Canvas admin can run the "Course Storage" report. Here's an example of the data it provides:
I hope this helps!
Chris Hofer had a great suggestion about contacting your administrator if you are concerned about running out of storage and for options if this is the case. I thought I would add that you may be able to find a bit of information that will be helpful in evaluating this if you go to "settings" in your course, then on the right hand side of the screen "course statistics". You should be able to see an overview of your course similar to this from my Sandbox course which provides a nice overview of your class.
By selecting "file storage", this window appears.
I hope this helps, but as an administrator at our institution I appreciate when faculty contact me if concerned about storage. Sometimes working together we can find ways to reduce the size of objects stored in Canvas, find other workarounds, or look at increasing storage.
All the best!
