Is there anyway that I activate the test student in roll call attendance?
I want to see how the daily attendance is portrayed to the students in student view. However, when I do this, all I see is the link in Grades to click on and it brings me to the speegrader page. Is this what the students see?
Kendi Judy, students can't see Attendance, ever. It is only visible to instructors. I think it would be great if students could see their attendance, but I don't think there has been a feature request for this specific feature. I know there is one for Attendance Overhaul - but that's more for the instructors.

Thank you Kona Jones. Yes, I'm going to add this as a feature. I had an instructor ask me this today and I was stumped. I feel as though if students are going to be graded on their Attendance and lose points for being late, they should see this in their grades. Anyway, as always, thank you for the input ... I'm headed to feature requests!
I did go and vote on this request. However, I'm wondering what strategies instructors have found to present some sort of view of attendance to their students....
Lesley, One thing that might work is to use one assignment and a rubric. The rubric might look ugly - huge - but you could make each row a different day (or week). That way students could see exactly when they were there/gone and the teacher could post comments for each attendance grade - ex: showed up late, left early, excused, or even something if they know the person is going to be gone ahead of time.

Anyone know if this feature will be added. Students really need to be able to see their tracked attendance.
