I keep getting this message.
I just went to taftcollege.instructure.com with Chrome and did not receive this message, so it may be something on your end or Canvas may have fixed it between the time you wrote it and the time I saw it.
Google has a page on the error: Fix connection errors - Google Chrome Help
The first page that came up for me when I Googled the error said that time issues are the most common cause of this. If the time is off on your device then this can happen. That's covered on Google's support page for Chrome where it says
"Your clock is behind" or "Your clock is ahead" or "NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID"You'll see this error if your computer or mobile device's date and time are inaccurate. To fix the error, open your device's clock. Make sure the time and date are correct.

You didn't say what operating system or device you were using, so Chrome's support page is probably the best all-around advice without additional information. Hopefully it's something as simple as having the wrong date and time on your computer.
If the information on that page doesn't help, or the problem still exists after resetting the time on your machine, I would reboot the computer. That fixes a world of problems in Windows, including caching of bad information that might have happened.
Okay. Thank you
