Has anyone seen this symbol on your students' uploaded notes. I think it may indicate cutting and pasting but not sure:

Yep, that is a copy/paste artifact. It is an image of some kind that cannot be displayed because it is not loaded into Canvas.
If you think that's bad, I have students who don't bother to take out the links in an article they copy/paste from Wikipedia.
If in doubt, copy some of the text, and paste into a Google search.

Yep, too stupid or lazy to even cheat well ;-)
But I like that kind, they are easy to catch, and leave a trail of clear evidence that even a balky Dean can follow.
