Is there are way for canvas to alert staff when a student has not submitted an assignment or quiz (or a marked discussion or survey) by the due date?
Hi Ilana Larke...
If your school has purchased Dropout Detective, you might be able to see some of this information (not 100% sure on this, however). For example, in our Dropout Detective environment, as an Admin for our Canvas instance, I can see how many missing assignments a student has in a class, the last access, and the last submission. Kimberley Munzo or Chris Munzo might be able to give you a few more details on their product to see if it would be a fit for you and your school.
Great - thank you!
My understanding is that it will need to still be checked manually though? Is that correct?

Hi, Ilana. Dropout Detective can trigger automated email alerts based on a number of data elements we retrieve from Canvas; missing assignments is one of those data points. We've talked to Boris Kelly; he's aware of our capabilities...thanks!
