Ideas of Summer PD

Hello everyone!   As summer is quickly approaching (what the heck happened to Spring?!?!), I'm thinking of ways to offer summer PD for our faculty and employees via Canvas.  We are Private K12 (9-12 specifically), but our faculty are spread out all over the world during the summer.  So online is the way to go for us.  

So far I have:

*  How to use ARC

*  Using Modules

*  Google LTI

*  Google Apps in general (for all employees, including staff)

*  GMail 101, 201, and 301 (I have high hopes)

*  Faculty new to campus - (How do I get tv service in my dorm apartment? How do I reserve a car? What is this crazy tradition that involves standing in a tight circle and screaming Christmas carols at the top of our lungs?)

What other topics would you offer?

Today is really the first day of my summer, and I am absolutely luxuriating in having time for myself and my interests. Including Twitter! 

So, if there is any way I can help out and/or make that Twitter useful to you as a professional development resource, let me know. I'd be glad to do a video chat or hangout with any group that would be interested in some Twitter4Canvas experimentation. 🙂

For our online faculty PD we do sessions on online discussions, rubrics, and one on assessing student feedback (and how to use that feedback to improve your course for next time).  So far all have been very well received!
