Do content pages support HTML5?
Jesse Keeler, yes, HTML5 is supported as the primary markup language within Canvas. However, not all elements/attributes are allowed. Here's a useful document from Instructure that lists the allowed elements and the attributes permitted on them: https://s3.amazonaws.com/tr-learncanvas/docs/Canvas_HTML_Whitelist.pdf
Please be aware, that there may be some elements permitted that are not on this list, but that could simply be a lapse in the programming for parsing the editor content. If you stick to the elements and attributes as they are listed, though, you should never have a problem.
Apparently so! I just had a successful trial with a sample of HTML5 scripting from the web, by clicking the 'HTML Editor' in 'Edit' mode of a Canvas wiki/content page, pasting it in and editing it. It seems to work perfectly.
Thanks for the feedback Earl!
Thank you Christopher!
