How to link syllabus to course
Hi Scott and welcome to the community!
There are a couple of ways to link to a syllabus in your course:
I hope this helps and don't hesitate to ask more questions if need be.
I've also worked with teachers who create their syllabus (or course description/course expectations) in Google Docs. They then can embed the page wherever they'd like OR they can link to a view-only version of the document. When they go to update the syllabus, it automatically updates in Canvas as well.
The "Syllabus" area in a Canvas course is automatically generated, based on calendar events and assignments in the course. However, in the "description" section of the syllabus, you can enter text, or you can embed or link to a syllabus file that you have uploaded.
For more information about the syllabus area, seeHow do I use the Syllabus as an instructor?
