I have an on-line class that includes 5 discussion questions, one for each section and one for optional extra credit, how do I set up the grading to accept optional extra credit?
There are various ways that extra credit can be added and it usually depends on how your do your grading. Based on your description; I'm assuming that 1 specific discussion is the extra credit item. If that is the case, simply set it up as a graded discussion and set the point value to 0. When you grade the discussion, any points you give them will be extra credit.
