Discussions: WHY do we need a "closed for comments' (which I don't set) when we already have a published/unpublished and a locked/unlocked?

I am SO tired of thinking I set something up and finding out that it's still inaccessible to students.

PLEASE get rid of closed for comments.

I feel constantly undermined by this LMS. This NOT user-friendly. It has someone's needs in mind. NOT mine.
