I have a question on Samples and Population. How do you determine ideal population size and the sample size for a survey? Are their rules for these?
Jimi, greetings and welcome to the Canvas Community. Based on your question, it sounds like you are taking a statistics or survey methods/research type course and have some questions about the content of the course. I'm not sure if you realized it or not, but this is the global Community of all Canvas Users. We are here to answer and help with Canvas related questions, but for coursework type questions it's normally best to ask your teacher. If you're not sure how to contact your teacher, you can try the Canvas Inbox or by checking the course syllabus to see the best contact method.
Yet, to help you get started on answering this question I found the following resource online that looked pretty promising - https://www.unc.edu/~rls/s151-2010/class23.pdf
Hope this helps!
Kona Jones -- you're the perfect example of Canvas stewards going above and beyond to meet inquiries. Well Done.
Thanks Cynthia! Your feedback is really appreciated! This is a crazy time of year for a lot of people and I'm doing my best to help as much as I can! :-)
I would add that I've never heard of determining the size of the population. You might double check the question to make sure that's what it asked for.
