How do I assign students to a Wiki group?
I am assuming that you want students to work on wiki pages as a group, correct? When you add students to Canvas groups, each group gets their own mini Canvas site that includes Announcements, wiki pages, discussions, a separate files area, access to conferences and collaborations. The only issue with groups comes in if you want to share the work that is done within the group to the entire class. To create groups you must first setup a group set and then create groups and add students. You can read all about this at: https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10460-canvas-instructor-guide-table-of-contents#jive_content_id_Groups
There is a feature request that is open for voting that appears to ask for this type of ability to share a groups work with the rest of the class after the work has been completed. You can vote it up at: Make assignments publicly viewable to other students/groups for group presentations
Depending on what you want students to do and the level of sharing, you might be better off using tools from Google. Much easier to share with the rest of the class.
Please let us know if you have any other questions and hopefully this helps.
