How can I avoid external translator, such as Google Translator, translate the pages to the students' mother tongue?
I don't know of any magic way to do this but did find a web site with some ideas. How to Disable Google Translate from Translating Specific Words or Content Blocks | Daddy Design
I haven't tested them and it requires a little knowledge of html to make it work, but it's something. Another site with some information is How to disable google translate from html in chrome - Stack Overflow
Lastly; if you are talking about the language settings in Canvas you can always specify a language for the course in your course settings. Doing this will override any user specific preference of language, at least related to Canvas and how the system terms are displayed.
Please let us know if this helps so that we can close out this question, if you consider it solved.
I wanted to check in as I noted that your question seems to have the community a little stumped. I am sure by now you will have found a possible solution or workaround through some of your own additional sleuthing? If not, do you still need assistance with this (please let us know, we are always happy to help)!
If you did find a solution that solved this, it would be great to hear from you how you did (as this will help anyone else that finds your question in future). Cheers,Stuart
