Students were videoed giving presentations and I would like them to access their own video file.
Yes, I can think of a few possible ways to do this but they all take a little time. First, you could send them messages through the InBox. At the bottom of the Compose Message window there is a button to Record or Upload media. DO NOT USE THE ATTACH FILE BUTTON! Doing so will count against your personal quota on Canvas and if you are sending video you'll burn through it quickly. The media button will re-encode the video to play on about any device and shouldn't count against your quota. Just make sure to only select the student who should receive the video.
Another option might be to use groups in your course; one for each student. Groups are kind of like mini courses within your course. So you could create a group set, and then groups for each student and add the appropriate student to it. Then go into that group and add the video by embedding it on a page or something. This method requires more work but is useful because it creates a "space" and can be used repeatedly for additional videos.
