How do I upload a file for a discussion assignment?
Yep, this could absolutely be the problem. Some Instructors don't realize that they need to do that. Here is the link to a guide you can send your Instructor to show how they can enable this feature - How do I allow students to attach files to a course discussion?
Hope this helps!
When you add a discussion, you are in a rich text editor box like any other page in canvas. depending on what sort of file you want to add, you can use one of the tools in the toolbar. I add a lot of images, which I have previously uploaded to "files" in my course. Click on the add media button and select canvas as the source, this allows you to select from an uploaded file in your course.
you can also select youtube, or Box, or any one of the options in the toolbar, I assume, depending on the sort of file you want to add. You can also link to a url.
I was just told the following via CANVAS CHAT:
It doesn't look like that setting is enabled. The instructor will need to enable it, in order to work
Is this correct?
