I've got a student trying to access a pretest and unable to find the blue button to take it. Of course, she's trying to do this before the class has actually started. Is there something I need to toggle to make it available the way the course as a whole was made available? This pretest is an assessment that gets followed up with a tutorial. If she wants to do the pretest and get a jumpstart on the tutorial, I'm fine with that, just don't know why she's not seeing the button!
Other students have successfully posted to the "introduction" assignment already, so it's not that all assignments are inaccessible, by the way. So I'm perplexed.
Hi Stuart,
I received a reply this morning. It's a "Canvas quirk" that any sort of quiz is not available until the official start of the course, which in this case is tomorrow. We don't normally start our semesters on a Wednesday, so normally it wouldn't be due the first day of class, but this time, that's how it works out. Argh. Well, that's one big class-wide extension!
Thanks for talking this through with me!
Diane
