Prides vs Manually Enrolled Courses

Hi folks!

Can anyone help me understand why exactly someone would create a Pride rather than a Manually Enrolled Course? It seems that they basically serve the same function, except for the fact that the Pride seems to have far more limitations (ex. no quizzes, assignments, no 'teacher' role, etc.). Except for the fact that the Manually Enrolled Course needs approval, is there any real benefit to the pride? Thanks!
