Is there a way to grade a quiz with the rubric instead of assigning points to each question?
This is shown in the Canvas docs already: How do I add a rubric to a quiz?
The short answer is to click on the menu icon on the quiz detail page and then click "Show rubric." In the popup, you can add a rubric to the quiz.
Thank you for the reply. I guess my question is really about how to use the rubric to grade the quiz? It seems the only way to assign points is with each individual question. When I use a rubric, those points do not show up for the total.
Looks like that isn't possible. The notes at the top of the page linked by Brian Bennett include the following:
- You cannot use a rubric for grading in quizzes, since quiz scores are calculated based on the number of points assigned to each quiz question.
