How do you insert Canvas "icons" into a Canvas page or module?
Hello Johnny Miller Welcome to the Canvas Community. Thank you for posting your question. What do you mean by Canvas "icons"? Are you asking about the red Canvas logo? Are you asking about some kind of icon set you've found somewhere? If you could give a few more details for us here in the Community, that would be helpful. I'm not 100% sure that you can add icons to content displayed on the "Modules" page, but you could certainly add some to content pages (pages, assignments, quizzes, discussions, etc.) throughout your course. Just need a bit more detail from you first. Thanks!
Hi Johnny Miller -
I wanted to take a minute to return to this question!
I think it's awesome to use visuals to help students with course navigation! There are a few sets of icons you could use. When you posted your initial question, were you referring to the Instructure-created icons used throughout Canvas? (Let me know if that's the case...) I have used Canva.com, icons8.com and ionicframework.com/docs/ionicons/ to create my own sets of icons for courses. I like the custom approach, as I can then color code my icons by unit.
If you want to continue this conversation, let me know!
Hello again, Johnny Miller...
I have been reviewing older questions here in the Canvas Community, and I came across your question. I wanted to check in with you because I noticed that we haven't heard back from you since you first posted your question on September 8, 2018. Have you had an opportunity to review the feedback that Kristin Lundstrum and I provided to you? If so, did either of our responses help to answer your question? Or, do you still have questions about your original question? If you feel that my feedback or Kristin's feedback has helped to answer your question, please feel free to mark either of our responses as "Correct". But, if you are still looking for some help from Community members, please come back to this topic to provide an update so that someone from the Community can assist you. For the time being, I am going to mark your question as "Assumed Answered" because we've not heard back from you in almost eight months and because there hasn't been any new activity in this topic since January 22, 2019. However, that won't prevent you or others from posting additional questions and/or comments below that are related to this topic. I hope that's alright with you, Johnny. Looking forward to hearing back from you soon.
