notification question

Hello,
I apologize ahead of time if this is an newby question, but in Canvas Catalog is it possible to set specific notifications by course? We have one course with rolling enrollment, that we need to be notified when someone registers and when they complete. So far, I have been unable to figure out how to accomplish this. Thanks in advance!
