I have embedded a google doc to a page, there are hyperlinks on the google doc. They don't work on the embedded google doc but they do work when I click on them with the google doc open. What do I need to do to fix this?
Hi Heather Sargent - Yep; I see what you're talking about. Students get a Canvas redirect page, and then it still does not open. The main issue is that Google does not seem to allow you to embed a hyperlink so that it loads in a new tab by adjusting the underlying code. I had a feeling that this issue has been brought up before, and indeed our awesome Community has spoken about it here: Embedding Google Doc with Links . I personally have not tried some of the other suggestions mentioned, but unfortunately I believe the best suggestion without getting too deep in the weeds of programming solutions is to either:
I assume that you may have your reasons for embedded the Google Doc, to begin with, rather than creating a page, so the first one may have to be the one to use in your case.
