Hi, when I try to send an email from my email account it doesn't work any more. Please, can you advise what I need to do to correct this? Thank you

Ouchie! You are a very open and trusting person. I might suggest not making your info quite so public.
Anyways, Canvas does not have email, and the email address displayed in your account settings will not provide it. This email address is used for a variety of things in Canvas, but one of them is not to provide the user with access to their email account. Primarily, that email address is used for forwarding Canvas notifications and as an identifier.
You will need to use Outlook or gMail, or some other email application in order to send an email to someone.
Thanks for replying. I actually thought this would go to a helpdesk!! I was previously using outlook to send emails directly to my tutor on canvas, but now they won't send and I have the correct setting. I'm so confused.

While not a helpdesk, we do try to be helpful in this Community. If you have a directory for your school, you should be able to locate Support. If not, tell us the name of your school, and we will do a little searching for you.
