I uploaded a file, then moved it to Modules. Students cannot download it because it is 'locked'. How do I unlock it?
Thanks. I found it had been placed in an unpublished folder. All is well again.

Hi Denise Phillips and welcome to the Canvas communityIf you can see the file but it's not accessible to your students, there are several things to check. First of all, go to the "Files" area of the course and check that the file is published (it will have a green tick) and that it doesn't have any other restrictions placed on it, as described here: How do I restrict files and folders to students in Canvas?
If you have added the file to a module, check that the module is published. You should also check that the module doesn't have any restrictions or requirements as described here: How do I lock a module?
For example, the module might be locked until a specified date, or it might require students to go through the module items in order. If this is the case, students won't be able to jump straight to that file if they haven't viewed the previous pages/files in the module.
