Has anyone been successful in creating any account level or course level roles in Canvas other than the traditional Canvas roles? We currently are thinking of giving a sub-account admin role for the department head, the Dean or other academic support. They would need to be able to search for users and courses associated with their designated department, have the same permissions as the instructor of the course and run Canvas reports. Can anyone share what the actual permissions you choose for custom Canvas roles you created at your institutions? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
