Subject: Negative score in tests
Body: Can negative score be given to an incorrect answer in a test?
Hello José Manuel Vegas Montaner...
I am using Google Translate to reply to your question.
It appears that you can award negative point values to questions after students have taken a quiz in your course. For example, in my own "sandbox" course, I tested this out with a quiz containing five questions. The first two questions were worth one point each. The third question was worth five points. The last two questions were worth one point each. This gave me a total of nine points for the quiz. Then, I graded the quiz...giving the student full points for questions 1, 2, 4, and 5. However, for question 3, I gave the student -2 points. This brought the student's total score for the quiz down to 2 out of 9 points. Essentially, it cancelled out two of the points gained on questions 1, 2, 4, or 5.
I hope this helps!
