MasteryPath by topic/objective rather than score?

I'm learning about MasteryPaths (an excellent tool) and Outcomes, and I have a question about how I should move forward. It seems as though the journey on a MasteryPath always begins with a low score.

I would like to develop a module in which students are taken on a MasteryPath based on which questions they missed on a quiz, rather than the overall score. For example, in a course on course design, if they miss questions related to writing learning objectives, they are taken on a MasteryPath dealing with that topic. If the miss questions on building with modules, they are taken on a MasteryPath dealing with that topic. If they miss questions on both, they are taken on both MasteryPaths, or a combined MasteryPath as would otherwise be developed.

Is it currently possible to use MasteryPaths this way?
