My students are getting a http-generic error when they are submitting Google cloud assignments. Anyone else getting the same error message or have a solution?
We ended up pushing Chrome out to all of our student machines and having them all upgrade it to the current version (71.something) and now it works just fine. As long as Chrome is updated to at least version 70 or above, it seems to work fine.
Im having the same issue. Its on an assignment that I have used in the past and had no issues with it.
My technology integrator just told me that it might be the version of Chrome we are using on some of the computers at school. Apparently some Chromebooks are using version 70(?) and others are only using version 67(?). At first she thought it was a filter issue...our filter was blocking Canvas from working together with Google Cloud assignments.
We are having the same issue. I've tested on our student MacBook Airs on both Chrome (v66) and Safari and Firefox. We get the error. Not getting the error when a student submits on a non-school cloned device.
The Google Chrome update seems to do the trick.

I just had a student come in with the same issue, but none of her classmates have the issue. And I just checked and she is using Chrome 67, but the others usually are 70...any tech people out there able to shed light on this and how to prevent it?

We have also had issues with Google being blocked in the Chrome settings for specific students.
My students are also having this issue and we are using Safari. All of the kids in my class are having this issue.
My issue was resolved by having the student shut down their chromebook and restart it. They never got the update that they needed from Google since they just shut it and open it each day without actually powering down.
The Chrome update does help, and we've also had luck with clearing the student cache on the device. Another thing to check is the student profile settings. You want to be sure that they have authorized Google in the user settings.
