Hello Dave Fenimore Welcome to the Canvas Community. Thanks for posting your question. Canvas won't know what an "A" or "B" or "C" is until you define them via a grading scheme. (You might define an "A" as 93-100, but another instructor might define it as 90-100.) So, if you have not done this yet, please check out How do I use grading schemes in a course? and the links in the blue boxed area of that Guide that should show you how to get this set up in your course(s).
