My institution has been fairly unimpressed with Canvas' built-in peer review feature. It's great for allowing students to see other submissions, but not helpful when it comes to other commonly used peer review concepts like getting a grade for doing the peer review. I'm sure we're not the only ones who do things like this when doing peer reviews (and sorry if this is something that has already been discussed). We have used workarounds like adding a No Submission assignment to house the peer review grade, or skipping built-in peer reviews altogether and using discussion boards instead. I'm curious what others are doing to workaround this. How do you handle peer reviews when you want to grade the peer review itself, or other things the peer review feature does not currently do? I'm interested in your setup whether or not you use the built-in peer review feature.
Thanks as always!
