i am the teacher and have a teaching assistant (TA) to help grade homework and quizzes. how do i add a TA to canvas such that he can access directly students posted homework.

The Guide for adding people to your Canvas course can be found here: How do I add users to a course? However, as described at the bottom of the blue box, the ability for you to add a TA on your own may be restricted by your school's local Canvas administrator(s). For example, we do not allow our instructors to enroll students or other staff/instructors in our courses ... as this is all done mainly via our SIS (Student Information System) or occasionally manually by me or someone on my immediate team who are all Canvas administrators. If this is also the case for you, then you will need to reach out to your local Canvas administrator to have the TA enrolled in your course.

I would hope your admin would have it set up to add yourself, as Chris mentioned. If so, you should see PEOPLE, where you can click and add the email of the TA that you'd like to add and you can change the role to TA.
