Canvas has great help literature available in the guides. Here's a video guide to creating discussions: Discussions Overview (Instructors) and here's a link to the written instructions. https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10460#jive_content_id_Discussions . I like to use the videos to get an overview, then use the written content to get more specific answers. I hope this helps!
