Is it currently possible to set up a system for peer assessment of student contributions to the work of a group?
I have my students working in groups, much of the time, on a project that spans the entire term. It is helpful for them to have the opportunity, from time to time, to offer structured, candid and anonymous feedback to one another regarding the intensity and the quality of each student's engagement with the group.
Note that this is quite different from peer review of a given assignment; it's not tied to a particular assignment, but to the ongoing work of the group. It is intended mainly to be diagnostic, to detect conflicts and free-rider problems before they undermine the group's effort altogether.
