If students in a particular class are assigned to do peer reviews for an assignment, does Canvas take the students' first/original submission or their last submission per the re-submit function (before the due date)?
If a student has submitted multiple times, when another student goes to the assignment to write a peer review, they will only see the most recent submission. The teacher will be able to view all submissions and will see the peer review comments added to the most recent one.
However, I believe there might be a problem if the student re-submits *after* a peer review has already been added to their first submission. The student who wrote the first review will not be able to write a review for the new submission as Canvas has them listed as already having completed the peer review assigned to them. The teacher will see peer review comments that had been added in the right-hand box, but if the reviewer added annotations to the first document, I don't think the teacher will be able to read the annotations after a new submission has been made. I'm not 100% certain that this is the case as I've not had chance to test it fully - perhaps someone can confirm if I'm correct?
Thank you very much. Your first paragraph fully answered my question.
