Is it possible to have a certificate of attendance?
I'm sorry that we missed your question. You'll find that asking a question in this space - Q & A will usually get you a quick answer to your questions, and likely several perspectives from various community members.
I'm going to move your question to that space, now...
You do have the ability to add a certificate of completion for a Catalog course. However, I would venture to guess that you're not using Catalog, and you are using Canvas for a training of some sort. That being the case there isn't a function in Canvas that I know of that will create certificates of completion automatically for you.
There is an feature request idea open right now for a Certificate of Completion Generator which I would encourage you to view and vote up if you support the idea. In the meantime, I can offer a work-around to help.
If you have a csv file with the names of your students (which you can produce by downloading scores from the Gradebook), then you can use that document to create a Mail Merge in Word. I would recommend doing a Mail Merge to create the certificates in bulk which will save you time. Let me know if you have other questions.
Actually, I'm referring to proof of attendance at this summer's InstructureCon. I need documentation for licensure.

That's a great question, Stephanie. I completely misunderstood your reference with my initial response. I don't know if there is any official certificate of attendance to use as documentation. Are you trying to get CEU's or time spent for professional development? If that's the case, you would need to work with Instructure. I could see if you were registered for a pre-conf workshop that you completed you could earn some sort of completion certificate, but I don't know of many conferences of this nature that provide a certificate of completion, but you never know. Renee Carney might be able to point you in the right direction to know if that's possible, or who you would need to contact.
Stephanie, were you able to get the documentation you needed or is this still a problem?
Stephanie, we haven't heard back from you in a while, and are hopeful that you have successfully obtained the proof of attendance you needed. As such, I'm going to mark your question as "Assumed Answered." The topic remains open for participation, so if you still need help with this, please post an update. Otherwise, perhaps we'll see you at Keystone for InstructureCon 2016!
