How do I down load a whole course from last semester and upload to a new one
Hello adriannah Metta...
If you are asking how to copy content from one course to another (eliminating the need to first download content in order to upload it to a different course), you can follow the steps outlined in this Guide: How do I copy content from another Canvas course using the Course Import tool? As you begin to follow the steps outlined in this Guide, you will want to be sure that you are logged in to the course where you want the content to be copied to. (You can think of this as your "destination" course.) During these steps, you'll be selecting where the content currently lives. (You can think of this as your "source" course.) I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any questions about this...thanks!
I absolutely recommend the method Chris outlined. It will make the process easier by eliminating several steps. Some teachers like to have a hard copy of the course as a backup or to share (although there are also other methods for this too, but hey, more options!). Just to make sure you are armed with any resources you might need, here is how you can export the course as a .imscc file which can be uploaded into a new course:
