How do you edit or remove a video submitted through the rich content editor?
I believe I figured out the answer to my question by pure accident. After nosing around in my account files, I saw where the video was physically located. I'm now checking out if I'm in the course and save a modified video with the exact same name, will it keep a single video in the personal account files. I'm thinking it will... that is another tale (tail)!
Hi Eric Fudge
It used to be that when a video was embedded using the RCE, you could simply click on it in edit mode for that page, then hit delete.
There is something fishy in Denmark, and it's not the fish. This no longer works, and it looks like you will need to open the HTML Editor, and scrub the embed code.
...but... is deleting code also deleting the video? No fish tales here.
Yes, it does delete the embedded video.
If you are unfamiliar with HTML and the HTML editor, the embed code will look like this......
<p><iframe src="//www.youtube.com/embed/8xysVNigCsU" width="560" height="315" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture"></iframe></p>
What I suggest for HTML newbies is to find the embed code in that page of gobbelygook, and add a space above and below that snippet to visually isolate it. Double check to make sure it is all of the embed element, and does not include any other code - note the "<p>" that starts the snippet, and the "</p>" that ends the snippet - then select the snippet and delete. Too easy for a new person to inadvertently remove something else.
