I chose to look at the New Canvas Analytics. The creators of Canvas stated that they "conducted by surveying users, collecting community ideas, and (when possible) face-to-face interviews of teachers, students, and instructional designers. The contributors related this information back to Canvas by doing/completing surveys, held discussions about how to relate other ideas to its creation and later use. They also were able to create new things to do with the program and "tagged" the analytics tool so that it would be included. As part of this was the addition of Canvas Live which added a way to view data and site based analytics and data sessions.
