Using Canvas for Study Abroad Waivers?

Hello everyone,
Our institution is in the middle of transitioning to Canvas as our primary LMS. Recently, our study abroad coordinator came to me about ways to use Canvas to support the Study Abroad program. (She had just attended a conference at another institution that uses Canvas where they mentioned using it for the Study Abroad Program.) She was asking about ways to collect waivers, student information, disperse information, etc. I had some ideas about how Canvas could support her program (such as creating a Study Abroad admin with limited privileges to be added to courses, creating a Study Aboard course for everyone interested in the program, creating ungraded survey to collect the student information/waivers); however, I wanted to see how other institutions are using Canvas to support their Study Abroad programs. Any suggestions?
