Can students print essays with my in-text annotations attached?
Hi Leslie and welcome to the Community! I just tested in my Sandbox with test students and when students go to their graded assignment, they will see a window with a box with a "view feedback" link. When this is clicked the annotated document will appear. At the top of this document is the following image.
This will allow them to download a PDF version of the annotated document. I believe from here what is seen when printed depends on what program is used to open and print the document. In Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, for example, when the print option is selected there is an option to "summarize comments" which numbers each comment and shows them on a separate page.
I hope this helps!
To add to what Eric posted, I also send the link to this guide to my students - How do I view annotation feedback comments from my instructor directly in my assignment submission?
Thank you. My students are working on a final draft of their essays and found it difficult to make revisions while toggling back and forth between screens.
This is my first semester using Canvas for my classes. I hope to move my school from Google classroom to Canvas; I am the test case.
I appreciate the help!
