LockDown Browser connects directly to Canvas the same way that a regular web browser does, and the availability dates and times, test time limits, and results are all controlled by Canvas rather than LockDown Browser.
You will want to work with Canvas Support at your school, since they will have access to your activity logs in Canvas, and can help confirm with the instructor what you did in the test.
Hi Hana Y , and Welcome to the Canvas Community!
Michael Zimmerman has given you good advice. Some of the problems we see with some of our own students in using the Respondus LockDown Browser are 1) they are challenged by the process of downloading the lockdown browser to their own device, and I would definitely ask your online learning folks for help with that if that's the problem; and 2) the other frequent problem is that while they downloaded the lockdown browser, they are still trying to access the Canvas test using a different browser like Chrome, Firefox of IE. You will want to access Canvas and your test using the Lockdown browser.
Good luck with this. Once you do the first one, you will never have a problem again. It is easy and reliable.
