I have a group discussion and have separated the class into four groups (using people tab). My question is do the selected students in the group receive a invitation to the group? How do students communicate to each other do they see each other email address? Or do I provided email addresses for their communication process?
As a teacher, I would NOT provide email addresses for students -- it could violate confidentiality rules. It is my understanding that students can see everyone in their class in the internal messaging Canvas has. I tell my students their group members and then leave it up to them. My daughter's professors do the same.
