My private charter school is looking to integrate technology through 1:1 laptops and also implementing the Canvas LMS into our campus full time this year. I am running a pilot program with my computer programming classes.
What are the best methods of using Canvas in a blended learning environment?
Specifically I can think of:
- Materials posted online for absent students to access
- Materials posted for students to come back and reference later
- Online material/project submission
- SIS Grade Sync
What are some of your best implementations, case studies, features that work well with course instruction in a classroom and how do you use Canvas to supplement?
I know my state's school system uses it EXCLUSIVELY for online courses (VPS / virtual public school) where kids never meet the instructor and learn and evaluate material all online. The blended teacher in the room environment is the portion I'm really looking for an answer to.
If anyone can share a sample module as a case study, that would be awesome too.
