CANVAS GRADEBOOK & RUBRIC COMPONENTS

Q. Is it possible to edit the function of Gradebook to include components of an assignment rubric individually while still feeding into a total score for an assignment?

Example: A major paper has a total score of 150 points.  The rubric that matches the major paper has 8 sections (components) with a distribution of the 150 points.

Section 1 - demonstrate knowledge of something.... total possible points for section 1 is 10 points (student must score an 8 out of 10 to pass this section)

Section 2 - demonstrate knowledge of something....total possible points for section 2 is 15 points (student must score a 12.5 out of 15 to pass this section)

Section 3 - demonstrate knowledge of something....total possible points for section 3 is 10 points (students must score an 8 out of 10 to pass this section)

SO on and so forth for all 8 sections with a potential perfect score of 150 points.

The reason for this function request is to be able to export a gradebook by components of an assignment rather than exporting a total score from gradebook.  Also, we are able to request the rubric from faculty with the scores delineated by component but then the inefficiency and chance of error with data is that the rubric cannot be exported into an excel spreadsheet for further analysis for an entire cohort of students efficiently.

I look forward to hearing back from  you.
