my canvas doesn't have assignment button how can i added it ?
is there other way for submit assignment?
Hello maryam yousefidanbali Welcome to the Canvas Community. Thank you for posting your question. Based on your question, I am assuming you are a student. (If not, please let us know.) Also, might you be using either Internet Explorer or the Edge browser on your computer? If that is the case, I would highly recommend that you download either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Although this Guide, Which browsers does Canvas support?, indicates that both IE and Edge are supported, it's a generally known rule here in the Community that Chrome and/or Firefox are preferred over the other two. This is especially true when it comes time to submitting work to instructors...as some things don't work as well with IE and Edge. So, please try either Chrome or Firefox. I think you'll have a much better browsing experience inside of Canvas with either of those two browsers. And, if you are still not seeing a "Submit Assignment" button after trying out Chrome or Firefox, you can always give the Canvas Help Desk folks a call or send them a message. How do I get help with Canvas as a student?
I hope this will help, Maryam.
Hello maryam yousefidanbali and welcome to the Community! If you don't see the assignment tab in your course, this is something that your instructor has set up and so you can not add this directly. However, the instructor probably has provided other ways for you to access the assignment. Examples may include a link to the assignment in the Modules tab or a link to the assignments within another page of your class. Quizzes may be visible within the Quizzes tab and graded Discussions within the Discussions tab, if these haven't been hidden as well. Additionally, there are some instructors who use outside assignment software that connects to Canvas. Sometimes these appear as their own tab within a course. When teaching courses, I commonly hide the Assignments tab because I want students to access all of the course content through Modules.
Without being able to see your class, it is difficult to determine the intent of your instructor. Your best bet if you have trouble finding assignments is to contact your instructor for clarification, or by connecting with Canvas Support (question mark icon in your global navigation pane). Support would be able to look into your class and see where assignments may be.
I hope this helps and best wishes!
